Description
This is my entry for the Pacific Rim contest.
I, despite being in a family of Australian citizens, was actually born in a different country, Indonesia, which I stayed there for 8 years and moved to New South Wales. I come visit there once in a while to meet my old friends whom I adore very much. That country is known to be culturally diverse, so I loved the idea of making my own Jaeger for it.
In Central Jakarta, taking stance beneath the scorching rays of the great celestial sphere, standing by the monument of Independence, itself being its embodiment.
Bhinneka comes from the renowned phrase Bhinneka Tunggal Ika, which translates to Unity in Diversity. I found it to be rather appealing, so I decided to implement it to the name. In the third line of the Indonesian Philosophical Theory, the citizens must uphold the unity of Indonesia. The monument in the left side of this picture is called the Monas, which is a structure built after the Proclamation of Independence from foreign colonization.
The colors RED and WHITE is also a prominent feature of this Jaeger. The red represents bravery, heroic bloodshed, and courage. The white represents purity and holiness. So, what I am trying to achieve here is to show that the Jaeger, while being the catalyst to the survival of humanity, is also the embodiment of hope and symbolism.
For its arsenal, I made a shield for it, but the main catch is the spear. The spear is a traditional weapon known as the Sumpit.
